full-time Project Director - Heavy Civil Construction - Springfield, MO (Open to relocators) Metric Geo are partnered with a leading regional contractor to find a project director. This person will lead heavy civil and DOT infrastructure projects across the Southwest Missouri region. You'll oversee project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while building strong relationships with clients and project teams. Key Responsibilities Lead DOT, roadway, bridge, and civil infrastructure projects from start to finish Manage project safety, schedule, budget, contracts, and profitability Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, agencies, and stakeholders Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and engineers to ensure successful project delivery Oversee change orders, forecasting, and compliance with DOT requirements Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers Qualifications 10+ years of heavy civil project management experience Proven success delivering DOT, roadway, bridge, or infrastructure projects Experience working with MoDOT and other public agencies Strong leadership, cost control, scheduling, and client management skills
