This position is responsible for overseeing electrical projects from planning through completion while keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company expectations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who understands the electrical construction industry and can effectively coordinate field crews, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and office staff. Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical projects from startup through completion.
  • Review project plans, specifications, contracts, estimates, and scope of work.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate manpower needs.
  • Monitor project budgets, job costs, labor hours, materials, and overall profitability.
  • Track project progress and identify potential delays or cost issues before they become larger problems.
  • Coordinate with foremen, electricians, apprentices, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Work closely with purchasing/procurement to ensure materials are ordered accurately and arrive when needed.
  • Review and approve project-related purchase requests and material needs.
  • Manage change orders and ensure additional work is properly documented and communicated.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate project updates to management and customers.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including correspondence, schedules, change orders, and job records.
  • Assist with billing information, job-cost reviews, and project closeout documentation.
  • Ensure field personnel have the information, materials, equipment, and resources necessary to complete their work efficiently.
  • Help ensure projects meet company safety, quality, and workmanship standards.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and other project partners.
  • Provide leadership and accountability to project teams while promoting a positive and professional work environment. Requirements
  • Previous project management experience in electrical construction is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, materials, labor requirements, and job-site operations.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, job costing, labor tracking, and project financial information.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient with computers and construction/project management software.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
