Job Description:
Seeking a Project Manager II to support Distribution Substation Optimization projects across the Carolinas West. This role will be responsible for managing projects that strengthen and modernize the electrical distribution grid while supporting long-term infrastructure and reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams including Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, QA/QC, Environmental, Safety, Operations, and external contractors.
  • Manage all phases of project planning and execution including scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, risk, and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, reporting, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Lead project meetings, provide regular status updates, and communicate effectively with internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Support contractor and vendor coordination, equipment selection, commissioning activities, and project closeout processes.
  • Drive collaboration and accountability across matrixed project teams.
Qualifications:
  • Utility industry experience required.
  • Electric distribution or transmission experience preferred.
  • EPC project experience preferred.
  • Experience with Maximo preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
