Our Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn more about the complex supermarket industry. Internship participants will have the ability to develop the leadership skills and business knowledge they will need to begin their career. This internship experience is an opportunity to work on projects that are meaningful and hands-on. Throughout the summer, interns will work in a team environment designed to promote and reward individuality, innovation, leadership, and strong business results. Program Details 11-Week paid summer internship Community service opportunities supporting Food Lion Feeds Career development and professional enhancement via learning activities Lunch & Learn sessions with business leaders End of program presentation to business leaders Housing provided Transportation provided, if needed Program Qualifications Minimum GPA 3.0 is required •All applicants are expected to provide a copy of their transcript with their resume showing they meet this requirement•Permanent employment authorization/ US citizenship Enrolled in a Bachelor's or master's program when applying Required Qualifications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization Self-Motivated Team-oriented thinking Excellent organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job Good judgment solving problems and making decisions Ability to take initiative and ask questions, learn quickly, and strive for results.
