Monteith Intern Program Our 2027 summer internship program will provide a realistic view of what it is like to work on a commercial construction project at Monteith Construction. Interns will gain exposure to many kinds of projects with myriad contract amounts and will work with industry leaders across our organization. The paid program will last 12 weeks next summer. What You'll Do At Monteith Spend your summer with us at Monteith Construction in Wilmington ! Some of the things you will be involved with, but not limited to, are: Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project documentation Work alongside Superintendents to understand daily jobsite operations, sequencing, and coordination of trade partners Participate in jobsite walks, project meetings, safety meetings, and planning sessions Assist with tracking project schedules, upcoming activities, and construction progress Review drawings and specifications to better understand project scope and construction details Help document jobsite progress through photos, field reports, and other project management tools Assist with quality control and punch list activities Gain exposure to project safety procedures and help promote a safe, organized jobsite Communicate and collaborate with trade partners Learn and utilize construction technology and project management software, including Procore Participate in companywide intern programming, department introductions, volunteer opportunities, and team events Complete a final presentation highlighting your experience, contributions, and key takeaways from the summer Experience You Should Have Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and seeking a degree in a related field/construction management program Problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing Required to Thrill at Monteith No Brilliant Jerks.
