full-time Project Manager Paramus, NJ A rapidly growing commercial and civil construction firm in Paramus, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing ground-up construction projects, a strong understanding of construction means and methods, and the ability to successfully deliver projects on schedule and within budget. The company seeks an excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who can effectively collaborate with owners, subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel. Position Overview The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from initiation through completion, working closely with senior management and field operations teams. This individual will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, document control, subcontractor management, and client communication to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial and civil construction projects from start to finish Manage project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor bidding lists Solicit, review, level, and de-scope subcontractor and vendor proposals Prepare and administer subcontract agreements Develop and manage site logistics plans and project-specific safety documentation in coordination with the Superintendent Manage subcontractor schedules of values and monthly requisition reviews Administer and negotiate change orders Manage submittal logs and oversee the submittal process within project management systems Coordinate material procurement schedules and track long-lead items Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process Organize, lead, and document project meetings Maintain accurate project records, meeting minutes, and correspondence Monitor quality control requirements, including inspections, testing, commissioning, and closeout procedures Maintain complete and current project documentation, drawings, and specifications Manage owner billing, subcontractor payments, vendor invoices, and requisition reviews Coordinate and oversee project closeout documentation Utilize project management systems to maintain project controls and reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of Project Management experience within commercial, civil, or public-sector construction Experience with ground-up vertical construction projects Estimating experience preferred Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings Excellent knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and cost management Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite The Company Offers Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits package Long-term career growth opportunities Stable and growing family-owned company culture Opportunity to work on high-profile commercial and civil construction projects Collaborative and supportive leadership team To apply E-Mail a resume to Richard.singer@roberthalf.com.
