full-time Construction Project Manager/Senior Project Manager My client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager/Senior Project Manager with public sector experience on large-scale projects to oversee all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, and overall project execution while ensuring quality, safety, and contract compliance. This role will report to a project executive. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders, identify and mitigate project risks, and drive successful project outcomes in fast-paced construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution Lead projects through construction, commissioning, and closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and milestone tracking. Coordinate project activities with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Manage project team Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain schedule and budget objectives. Manage project documentation, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout requirements. Budget & Financial Management Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and cost forecasts. Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals and change orders. Track project costs, commitments, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare monthly financial reports, requisitions, and budget updates. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project objectives. Construction Oversight Coordinate field operations with superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams. Help to monitor quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications. Conduct site visits and project inspections to verify work progress and quality standards. Resolve project challenges and conflicts in a timely and professional manner. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in institutional, healthcare, educational, infrastructure, and/or public-sector construction, with the public sector being a preference. Experience managing construction projects valued at $50 million or greater preferred. Experience in working with a team on large-scale projects in the public space. Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration. Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and multiple project stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, or similar project management software. Knowledge of NYC construction practices, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements is preferred. OSHA 30 certification required. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
