AHA Duties:

Provides safe, quality nursing care to patients in their home setting using the nursing process and evidence-based practices. Assesses patient care needs, applies critical thinking, and develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care. Provides nursing care per provider orders, including IV access, IV therapy, laboratory sample collection, and wound care. Educates patients and caregivers on the plan of care, transitions, health promotion, and disease prevention while maintaining effective communication. Manages a designated caseload, monitors progress toward care goals, documents care, and supports quality, safety, and compliance practices.
