Sam Tell is currently seeking a motivated Project Management Assistant to support its food service Design & Construction Division. This position is full-time in-office at our Farmingdale, NY office. Essential Functions:
- Assisting Project Managers with project coordination through development of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Data entry through AutoQuotes
- Utilizing phone skills and maintaining vendor relations to update shipping schedules
- Working well in a fast-paced industry
- Coordinate and communicate as required with the various departments within the company to ensure a successful, well-run project
- Research and troubleshoot issues pertaining to design or construction and provide alternate design criteria and/or specifications to meet field conditions
- Helping to coordinate logistics, payment and delivery schedules for projects
Qualifications:
- Strong computer, organizational skills, time management, accountability, data entry and attention to details are necessary
- Previous experience in the food service industry or construction administration is required.
- Experience with or knowledge of AutoQuotes (or simliar) is a major plus!
- Solid intermediate Excel skills is highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with an ability to interact professionally within a diverse group, inclusive of customers, sales personnel, executives, etc.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced day
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow through
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Self-motivated with commitment to timely delivery of tasks and initiatives
- Associates or bachelor's degree, a plus Salary based on experience
