Up to $180,000 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to oversee large-scale new construction and high-rise projects throughout Long Island and the New York City boroughs. This position is ideal for an experienced mechanical construction professional with a strong background in HVAC piping systems, high-rise construction, and complex project management. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through completion while managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships. The ideal candidate has successfully managed substantial HVAC/mechanical projects and can effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, schedule, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Project Management Manage HVAC projects from pre-construction and planning through installation, closeout, and completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower requirements, and overall project plans. Monitor project progress to ensure work remains on schedule and within budget. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Identify potential project delays, cost overruns, and operational challenges and proactively develop solutions. HVAC & Mechanical Construction Oversee HVAC and mechanical installations for high-rise and new construction projects. Review and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, piping layouts, and project documentation. Maintain a strong understanding of piping systems and mechanical installations. Coordinate equipment, materials, manpower, and subcontractor requirements throughout each phase of construction. Ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards. Coordination & Communication Coordinate closely with general contractors, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and clients. Lead project meetings and communicate schedules, expectations, and project requirements to all stakeholders. Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and financial information to senior management. Budget & Cost Control Monitor project budgets, costs, change orders, purchasing, and overall financial performance. Review project expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. Manage change orders and ensure additional work is properly documented and communicated. Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials to support project schedules. Quality & Safety Monitor quality control throughout all phases of construction. Ensure work complies with applicable building codes, project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. Work closely with field leadership to address installation or construction issues quickly. Troubleshoot and resolve project-related challenges to minimize delays and disruptions. Qualifications Proven experience managing HVAC and/or mechanical construction projects. Strong experience with new construction and high-rise projects highly preferred. Extensive knowledge of HVAC piping systems and mechanical installations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and change-order management. Knowledge of New York construction codes, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Experience coordinating with general contractors, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
