Full Job Description Position Outline:
Coordinates and schedules projects, people, and materials — balancing sales trends and production needs from one week to eight months out while keeping every job on track. Reviews paperwork, contracts, estimates, measurements, POs, and other job records to keep projects moving, and develops strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers on the company's behalf. And behaves in a manner consistent with the McClurg guiding principles of honesty, respect, communication & keeping our word.
Scheduling & Logistics:
Communicate project scheduling with clients on a regular basis Make sure client concerns that are brought to your attention are addressed Forecast job schedules, team members' schedules, and miscellaneous variables to maintain an updated production calendar on a weekly basis Set project start and end dates and communicate them to subcontractors, suppliers, and team members Schedule PPCMs and PCMs with carpenters, sales, and customers (pre-construction meetings) Attend pre-construction meetings with the sales and production team Obtain permits for projects Give subcontractors and suppliers sufficient notice to meet the project schedule Handle day-to-day scheduling conflicts across active projects Assemble jobs accurate and timely information Keep the Production Manager apprised of staffing and additional help needs Be on time and prepared for all appointments and meetings Update various tracking and communication systems for ongoing and completed projects
Materials & Estimating:
Prepare and manage sales quotes for materials and subcontractors Coordinate the ordering of materials, tracking lead times and delivery schedules Support estimating for projects, ensuring accuracy against contracts and scope Double-check all quotes against the estimate and contract before finalizing Complete special orders for exterior doors, windows, hardware, fixtures, and any materials with extended lead times
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years in construction scheduling Related experience: Minimum of 5 years business/administrative experience Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates degree required Valid NYS drivers license Insured, reliable vehicle
