Desired start date April 2026. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThese positions are located in the Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) in the Department of Operational Support (DOS). The Office of Supply Chain Management includes the Office of the Assistant Secretary General for Supply Chain Management, Logistics Division, the Procurement Division, the Uniformed Capabilities Support Division, , Global Service Centre, Aviation Safety Section and the Enabling and Outreach Service. OSCM is committed to building efficient, agile, responsive, accountable, end-to-end uniformed capabilities and supply chain solutions for all our global partners and clients. Supply Chain Management covers a wide scope of services including supply chain planning and performance management, logistical support, procurement, vendor management and supplier diversity, aviation safety, and uniformed capabilities support. In addition to operational services and support, OSCM also provides advisory services and guidance to nearly 100 client entities globally, as well as to troop and police contributing countries (T/PCCs). The incumbent will report to the relevant Supervisor. OSCM offers internship opportunities that provide a unique blend of hands on experience in talent acquisition, candidate management, with a unique blend in Project Management and Data Analytics. Candidates might also be considered to support Projects Management under other domains such as Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Transportation and related areas. The Project Management intern will perform the following:

The Project Management intern will perform the following:
- Supports project management activities, including planning, scheduling, documenting, and coordinating project tasks ensuring accuracy.
- Assists in tracking project progress and timely completion of deliverables on a daily, weekly, and/or bi-weekly basis.
- Efficiently manages time and meets deadlines, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Leverages Agile Principles to analyze project tasks, timelines, and deliverables for project continuity.
- Coordinate weekly updates for key projects, integrating team inputs into internal systems for records.
- Develops and deliver presentations to communicate project updates and findings to the management and higher personnels.
- Collaborates with cross-functional divisions to ensure organizational/ departmental objectives are met with timely communication and updates.
- Translates data results into written reports, or presentations to convey information to management.
- Prepares and update drafts of meeting agendas, document notes, and assign tasks as relevant.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and internal stakeholders, and ability to create reports and present data findings clearly.
- Provides support in organizing meetings and events, including assistance with logistics, drafting background materials, and assisting with follow-ups, including summarizing key points and action items.
- Supports team members with data cleaning from primary or secondary sources and maintaining databases/data systems.
- Creates simple data visualizations for internal or external use independently.
- Has the ability to identify issues and develops solutions, utilizing analytical thinking to analyze data and draw meaningful insights.
- Has basic knowledge of Human Resources processes such as talent acquisition and workforce planning with an understanding of HR policies and compliance requirements.
- Has knowledge of advanced key business tools (e.g. Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP, PowerPoint, Word). Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint, PowerBI, Tableau, Visio). Training Components and Learning Elements.
- Gain a broad understanding of the operations of the UN System.
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate projects and findings.

- Work with different stakeholders and clients to meet organizational objectives Qualifications/special skillsTo qualify for an internship with the UN, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- The preferred candidate would have a degree or pursuing studies preferably in the areas of Project Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
- Experience using Office 365 applications, including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint for document management is required.
- Experience in drafting reports, presentations, and presenting findings is desirable.
- Experience in data collection, analysis and visualization is desirable.
- Experience as an advanced Microsoft Excel user is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a complex environment is an asset No work experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advanced course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools is desirable.
