Full-Time Salary:
$60,000 - $70,000 Marras Curtis Lighting Design (MCLD) is a boutique lighting design and distribution firm specializing in high-end residential and select commercial projects. We are a design-focused lighting studio with a non-corporate culture. The right person will enjoy working with designers, architects, makers, and build teams while being the organized, precise person who keeps complex project information reliable. This is a project coordination role on the lighting materials side of our business. You will own the day-to-day flow of lighting materials from RFQ and quoting through purchasing, order tracking, delivery, storage, and handoff—while keeping clients, vendors, and internal teams informed along the way. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in any field with a strong academic record. Major is flexible; demonstrated academic performance and responsibility matter most. This is an entry-level/early-career position with meaningful responsibility. We expect a solid foundation in organization, communication, and problem-solving; prior lighting knowledge or experience with our specific software and processes is not required and will be taught. Comfort working with spreadsheets, detailed records, product information, and software systems. Role Summary You will manage the purchasing and order-management side of our lighting projects—from RFQs and quoting through ordering, tracking, receiving, storage, delivery, and handoff. You'll maintain the project information in our software, coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams, and keep issues moving through resolution. What You'll Do Receive and organize RFQs, schedules, product information, and related project records. Review lighting specification packages for gaps, conflicts, or unclear information. Check model numbers, finishes, voltages, dimming, accessories, quantities, and related product details. Prepare and maintain quote, order, schedule, and tracking packages. Communicate with manufacturers, vendors, reps, designers, clients, and internal team members. Track approvals, acknowledgements, lead times, production, shipping, and delivery expectations. Receive, inspect, organize, and prepare deliveries for storage and handoff, including lifting and moving boxes, working around palletized materials, and using basic hand or power tools as needed. Help resolve shortages, damages, incorrect products, missing parts, backorders, claims, replacements, and occasional warranty issues. - This is a full-time, in-office role.
- The role combines computer-based project coordination with hands-on work receiving, inspecting, organizing, and preparing lighting products for storage and delivery.
- Physical requirements include lifting and moving boxes, accessing stored materials, working around pallets and shelving, the use of basic hand and power tools, ladders, and using a walk-behind forklift.
Training and certification will be provided.
