We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager I to support the Project Manager with the coordination and execution of railcar projects. This position will manage day-to-day project activities, coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments, and monitor project schedules, deliverables, risks, and contractual requirements. Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Key Responsibilities Support the Project Manager with daily project management and administrative activities. Coordinate Project Coordinator activities and support major vendor management throughout production, delivery, and warranty. Monitor vendor performance, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and open issues. Manage project correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, and project documentation. Maintain project databases and tracking systems for deliverables, action items, and project metrics. Monitor project schedules and report progress to management. Track and support the closure of project deliverables and open issues. Identify project risks and assist with developing and implementing mitigation plans. Review and understand project contracts and vendor/subcontract requirements. Participate in customer, supplier, subcontractor, and internal project meetings. Support contractual and financial milestone activities. Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, customers, vendors, and company affiliates. Support customer design reviews, reliability meetings, and other project activities. Prepare project reports and documentation for management and customer review. Travel domestically and internationally as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering , or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, project engineering, or project administration. Strong communication, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors. Ability to monitor project schedules, deliverables, action items, and milestones. Strong interpersonal and computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience coordinating and documenting project meetings. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the transportation industry. Manufacturing experience. Mechanical, systems, or electrical design experience. Experience with customer and supplier coordination on complex engineering or manufacturing projects. Knowledge of project risk, schedule, and cost management. Pay:
$114,000.00 - $121,000.00 per year
