On-Site Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a municipal bridge construction project in Westchester County from Notice of Award through final closeout. This is a public works project involving a fixed completion schedule, prevailing wage requirements, multiple specialty subcontractors, active traffic coordination, and close collaboration with the owner, engineer of record, and construction management team. The Senior Project Manager will have full ownership of the project, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, subcontractor management, project financials, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for the owner, engineer of record, construction manager, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Lead the project from award through successful completion and closeout. Develop, maintain, and manage the CPM project schedule using P6 or MS Project. Coordinate long-lead procurement, permitting, utilities, work-zone sequencing, and critical-path activities. Manage subcontractors and specialty trades from scope development and buyout through daily coordination and closeout. Direct the project superintendent and field team while maintaining strong communication between office and field operations. Manage project financials, including cost-to-complete forecasting, monthly requisitions, retainage, change orders, cash flow, and profit/margin reporting. Oversee submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and other project documentation to ensure timely review and approval. Ensure compliance with NYS Labor Law Article 8, prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll, OSHA requirements, subcontractor registrations, and owner reporting requirements. Maintain high standards for quality control, safety, and contract compliance. Lead projects involving demolition, crane operations, heavy equipment, and work over or adjacent to live traffic. Coordinate maintenance-and-protection-of-traffic activities, lane closures, road closures, and night work. Identify potential project risks involving field conditions, quantities, weather, procurement, utilities, and schedule impacts, and develop solutions before they affect the project. Prepare, negotiate, and support change orders while protecting project margins and contractual interests. Maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, and public stakeholders. Qualifications 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with at least 5 years serving as a Project Manager of Record on bridge, structural, transportation, or similar infrastructure projects. Direct experience working with New York public owners, including municipal, county, NYSDOT, or authority projects. Strong understanding of prevailing wage and public works requirements. Demonstrated experience managing project financials, including P&L responsibility, cost forecasting, cash flow, and change-order management. Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors, specialty vendors, and long-lead structural components. Working knowledge of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) plans, night work, lane closures, and permitted road closures. Proficiency with P6 or MS Project, Procore or equivalent construction management software, and Microsoft Excel. OSHA 30 certification. Valid driver's license. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience with prefabricated or modular bridge erection. Crane and rigging planning experience. Experience overseeing environmental abatement activities within construction contracts. Experience with structural concrete repair and protective coatings. NY Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, or CCM certification.
