Job Description

Prairie Band Construction, a Native American tribally owned general contractor, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial, federal, and tribal construction projects. In this role, you will assist with scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and change orders; coordinate with subcontractors and vendors; and help track budgets, costs, and invoices. You'll maintain accurate project documentation, support safety and quality efforts, and contribute to preconstruction planning. Responsibilities Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and daily coordination of construction activities. Prepare, track, and log RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. Support budget tracking, cost reports, and invoice review for assigned projects. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedules and quality. Maintain organized project documentation in PM software and shared systems. Help monitor safety and quality standards in collaboration with the field team. Communicate project updates and issues to project managers and stakeholders. Support preconstruction tasks such as quantity takeoffs, bid reviews, and scope clarifications.
