PROJECT MANAGER- SECURITY
Job Description
Purpose The Fire & Security Sales & Project Manager plays a key role in leading both the sales and project execution efforts within our Fire & Security division. This role is responsible for driving new business through estimating and quoting, while also ensuring projects are delivered successfully from kickoff through completion. This position supports and develops a team of project coordinators and technicians, helping to create a strong, collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Essential Functions Sales & Estimating Prepare accurate and timely take-offs, estimates, and proposals for fire alarm and security system projectsReview project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to develop competitive and complete quotesPartner with customers, contractors, and internal teams to clarify scope and ensure alignmentSupport business development efforts by identifying opportunities and building strong client relationships Project Management & Execution Oversee projects from award through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are metCoordinate resources, schedules, and materials to support successful project deliveryMonitor project progress and proactively address challenges to keep work moving forwardEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company expectations Team Leadership Lead, support, and develop project coordinators and technicians within the divisionProvide guidance on project execution, prioritization, and problem-solvingFoster a team environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementAssist with workload planning and resource allocation across projects Customer & Operational Support Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycleMaintain strong relationships by ensuring clear communication and follow-throughPartner with internal teams to support a seamless customer experienceIdentify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall project outcomes Requirements Experience in fire alarm, security systems, or related life safety industryStrong understanding of estimating, take-offs, and project management practicesKnowledge of applicable codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, and local requirements preferred)Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment Gardiner is committed to creating an accessible application process.
