Job Description

Job Title:
AMI Project Manager Location:
Rosemead, California (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
We are supporting a high-impact IT leadership opportunity for a technically grounded project professional who can drive complex delivery across planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Our team is seeking a candidate who can coordinate stakeholders, manage financial and resource planning, and keep solution design, scope, and delivery tightly aligned in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including pre-planning, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for a major Advanced Metering Infrastructure initiative. Develop and maintain resource plans, technical scope alignment, and effort and cost estimates across integration, data, infrastructure, and testing workstreams. Support solution blueprinting, business process mapping, requirements clarification, and planning activities to align design, schedule, and budget with delivery needs. Track financial performance, manage scope changes, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain documentation for audit, compliance, risks, and milestones.
Required:
3+ years of large-scale IT program or project management experience in utilities or regulated industries. Experience with AMI, smart grid, or large electric utility technology and infrastructure projects, with AMI 1.0 or 2.0 preferred and at least some AMI 1.0 exposure required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong background in IT infrastructure, solution blueprinting, implementation planning, resource planning, risk management, and cross-functional leadership. Ability to support day-to-day PM deliverables, adapt quickly in a fast-paced program, and communicate technical information to both business and technical audiences. Experience in vendor management, procurement, contract negotiations, and financial compliance is preferred, along with PMP certification.
