Job Description
Company Overview We are a privately held U.S.-based General Contractor specializing in ground up, renovation, and capital improvement projects across a variety of industries. We are seeking an experienced National Project Manager to oversee multi-site construction projects for a nationwide auto parts retailer. Position Overview The National Project Manager will manage construction projects from permitting through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards. This role requires extensive experience in commercial construction project management and advanced proficiency with Procore. Essential Functions Work closely with the client to effectively communicate project status. Manage multiple construction projects nationwide. Coordinate contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and project milestones. Review and manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance. Lead project meetings and provide project status updates. Serve as the primary Procore administrator and ensure accurate project documentation and reporting. Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists and turnover documentation. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management experience. Experience managing multi-site or national construction programs preferred. Automotive retail, dealership, retail, or commercial construction experience preferred. Strong proficiency with all major Procore modules. PMP, CCM, or similar certification is a plus. General Skills Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving, budgeting, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to travel throughout the United States as needed. Ability to walk active construction sites and navigate uneven terrain. Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Valid driver's license required. IT Requirements Advanced proficiency in Procore Construction Management Software. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Experience with project scheduling and construction management software. Ability to generate project reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
