$50 - $60 per hour Position Description We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead technology initiatives and Agile delivery teams through successful project execution. This role is ideal for a delivery-focused professional who can operate comfortably across business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership. The successful candidate will combine strong IT project management expertise with hands-on Scrum Master experience, driving projects from planning through delivery while facilitating Agile ceremonies, supporting team performance, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring business outcomes are achieved. This is a highly collaborative role for a servant leader and proactive problem solver who continuously looks for ways to improve delivery processes, team effectiveness, communication, and overall project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Project & Delivery Management Lead the full project lifecycle in accordance with SDLC and established project management practices. Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, roadmaps, staffing plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Drive projects to successful on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. Manage risks, issues, dependencies, changes, quality, procurement, contracts, and vendors. Monitor project performance and provide accurate forecasting, status reporting, and financial updates. Contribute to annual financial planning, budgeting, and resource forecasting. Ensure compliance with project governance processes and participate in structured project reviews. Agile & Scrum Leadership Serve as both Project Manager and Scrum Master for dedicated Agile teams. Facilitate and lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog-related activities. Lead and coordinate multiple small-to-medium-sized Scrum teams as needed. Support SAFe practices, PI Planning, release planning, and execution of committed PI objectives. Remove impediments, manage dependencies, and help teams achieve agreed-upon outcomes. Promote Agile principles, continuous improvement, accountability, and effective team collaboration. Apply lessons learned to improve delivery speed, quality, and team effectiveness. Stakeholder & Change Leadership Partner closely with business stakeholders, Scrum teams, technical teams, vendors, and leadership. Communicate project status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and key milestones clearly to audiences at all levels. Develop effective communication plans and ensure stakeholders have timely, accurate information for business decisions. Lead change initiatives and help teams and stakeholders successfully adopt new processes, technologies, and ways of working. Ensure project roles, responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables are clearly defined and understood. Vendor & Resource Management Build and maintain effective vendor relationships. Review vendor invoices, deliverables, performance, and contractual commitments. Monitor resource assignments and ensure staffing aligns with project objectives and priorities. Tools & Reporting Maintain project documentation, release schedules, roadmaps, staffing profiles, application documentation, and management reports. Utilize tools such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel to manage and communicate project information. Required Skills/Education 7-10 years of combined IT Project Management and Scrum Master experience. Proven experience working in both Project Manager and Scrum Master capacities. PMP certification required. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification required. SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM) certification preferred. Demonstrated experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies. Hands-on experience with PI Planning and SAFe Agile practices. Strong experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and delivery management. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, project governance, risk management, change management, and continuous improvement. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and team coordination skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization abilities. Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, resources, vendors, and deliverables. Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, foster collaboration, and operate as a servant leader in a fast-paced technology environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or Agile teams. Experience with enterprise technology transformation, digital initiatives, or complex IT programs. Experience with vendor management, contract oversight, and financial planning.
