A Project Manager manages work on projects with a defined scope, start and completion point. Leads project teams, manages project budgets and schedules; manages contractors and communications with stakeholders. May manage projects in construction, information technology or in other industries.
Role Summary We're hiring an experienced, field-focused Project Manager who can run jobs in the real world and keep the office side organized. You'll manage multiple projects at once, coordinate subcontractors, keep schedules tight, protect quality, and communicate professionally with homeowners.
This is a hands-on role:
you'll be on job sites regularly, verifying work, solving problems, and keeping projects moving. What You'll Do Run multiple residential projects from kickoff to completion (decks, fences, remodels) Lead jobsite execution: verify layout, materials, workmanship, and code compliance Coordinate subcontractors/crews and hold them accountable to scope, schedule, and quality Plan and manage schedules (start dates, inspections, deliveries, punch lists) Order/coordinate materials and confirm quantities match the scope Manage jobsite safety, cleanliness, and professionalism standards Communicate with homeowners: updates, expectations, issue resolution, walkthroughs Document progress with photos and daily/weekly updates Identify risks early (weather, access, site conditions, material delays) and adjust the plan Manage change orders: document scope changes and get approvals before work proceeds Close out projects: punch list completion, final walkthrough, completion sign-off Requirements (Experience Needed) 3+ years of construction project management, superintendent, or lead foreman experience Strong knowledge of residential construction (framing/carpentry required; decks and exterior work strongly preferred) Proven ability to manage subcontractors and keep quality high Ability to read scopes, material lists, and basic plans/measurements Strong communication skills with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal team Highly organized: can manage multiple jobs without details slipping Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable using mobile apps/software for scheduling, photos, and communication Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience with composite/Trex deck builds, stairs, railings, and exterior trim Familiarity with local permitting/inspection processes Experience with Jobber, Joist, Google Calendar, Gmail, or similar tools Bilingual (English/Spanish) Pay & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience (hourly or salary) Performance incentives/bonuses available based on project outcomes (schedule, quality, customer satisfaction) Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance (if applicable) Growth path to Senior PM / Operations role for the right person
