Job Description

South Florida Windows and Doors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial glass and glazing projects from award through completion. The Project Manager will coordinate with general contractors, architects, vendors, fabricators, installers, and internal team members to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, on schedule, and profitably. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment where priorities can change quickly. Key Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the details and overall performance of assigned commercial glazing projects, including: Submittals
  • Prepare, review, and manage accurate submittal packages. Material Procurement
  • Verify quantities, specifications, and requirements to ensure accurate material orders. Fabrication Packages
  • Review and coordinate fabrication packages to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements and floor conditions. Project Management
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, documentation, milestones, and overall project execution. Profitability
  • Monitor project costs, identify potential issues, and take action to protect job profitability. Documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, approvals, changes, schedules, and other required documentation. Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, customers, vendors, fabricators, installers, and internal team members.
What You Bring To be successful in this position, you should have: Strong blueprint and construction drawing reading skills. An understanding of commercial construction and construction processes. Experience with material takeoffs and quantity verification. The ability to create, manage, and maintain project schedules and timelines. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate openly and in a timely manner with team members, subcontractors, vendors, and customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn and use project management and company-specific software. The ability to manage contributions from designers, vendors, fabricators, installers, and other project stakeholders. The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A flexible, solutions-oriented approach to changing project and business needs. The ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and results. A valid driver's license and a driving record in good standing. Construction management experience or equivalent experience in commercial glass and glazing is preferred, but not required. Experience & Schedule 3-5 years of applicable project management, construction management, or related experience preferred. Commercial glass and glazing experience is a plus. Full-time, in-person position in Pompano Beach, FL. Approximately 25% travel may be required. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Pompano Beach or relocate before starting.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$60,000
