We fabricate and install stairs, railings, balconies, ladders, platforms, gates, fences, gratings, bollards, lintels, and other custom metalwork for large-scale residential developments, government facilities, airports, parks, and other commercial projects. Position Overview A&T Iron Works is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee miscellaneous metals projects from contract award through fabrication, installation, and closeout. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact among general contractors, construction managers, detailers, vendors, subcontractors, field personnel, shop leadership, and company management. This is a hands-on position requiring regular job-site visits to coordinate work, resolve field conditions, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple projects from contract award through completion in coordination with company management Review contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, and project scope to identify requirements, risks, and potential conflicts Coordinate shop drawings, field measurements, RFIs, submittals, approvals, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and installation Develop and maintain project, shop, delivery, and installation schedules with internal teams. Coordinate closely with estimators, detailers, shop personnel, installers, vendors, and subcontractors Communicate regularly with general contractors, construction managers, architects, engineers, and customers Track project costs, purchase orders, subcontractor invoices, committed costs, and budget performance Identify, document, price, submit, and pursue change orders and additional work. Support payment applications, billing, collections, punch-list completion, and project closeout. Conduct job-site visits to verify field conditions, coordinate installation activities, and resolve issues Maintain organized and accurate project documentation. Promptly inform management of schedule delays, cost concerns, contractual issues, and other project risks Qualifications Three to five years of project-management experience in miscellaneous metals, steel fabrication, architectural metals, or commercial construction Working knowledge of miscellaneous-metal detailing, fabrication, finishing, delivery, and installation Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and contract documents Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, project schedules, costs, and closeout documentation Strong communication, organization, follow-through, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu Experience with Tekla EPM/PowerFab or comparable fabrication or project-management software is a plus Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites throughout the New York metropolitan area Compensation Base salary for this job is $90,000.00 to $135,000.00 Compensation is competitive and will be determined within the posted range based on relevant experience, technical knowledge, project-management capabilities, and overall qualifications.
