Job Summary:
The Mitigation Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing mitigation projects from start to finish, including water, fire, mold remediation, biohazard and trauma cleaning, and document restoration. This role includes estimating and selling services, supervising technicians and subcontractors, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. The Project Manager serves as the primary client contact, keeps accurate project documentation, resolves on-site issues, and ensures compliance with industry regulations. With a strong emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction, the Mitigation Project Manager must be adept at leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple mitigation projects, including water, fire, mold, biohazard, trauma, and document restoration, from initial contact through invoicing. Prepare accurate estimates and manage the full sales process for mitigation services. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with industry standards and client expectations. Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns proactively. Supervise technicians and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards. Monitor proper use of equipment, materials, and resources. Manage job site logistics, including labor, materials, and equipment allocation. Conduct regular site inspections for quality assurance, safety, and protocol adherence. Maintain accurate project documentation and provide detailed reports on status, schedules, and completion. Act as liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Resolve issues promptly and effectively on-site. Recruit, train, and mentor staff to support growth, efficiency, and adherence to standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent. OSHA 10 or IICRC certifications preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in mitigation or disaster restoration preferred. Strong knowledge of industry-standard mitigation techniques and safety protocols. Proficiency in Xactimate Estimating Software. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and operate water mitigation equipment. Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and participate in on-call rotation. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to obtain and maintain DOT card. Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
