About JAG JAG Painting Contractors, Inc. is a service-disabled veteran-owned commercial and industrial painting and specialty coatings contractor headquartered in New Bedford, Massachusetts. We are a growing company that promotes from within. This role is built for someone who wants to become a full Project Manager and is willing to learn the work from the field up. Position Summary The Junior Project Manager supports our project management team in running painting and coatings work from award through closeout. You will own the day-to-day details — submittals, schedules, material procurement, manpower coordination, documentation, and customer communication — while working closely with senior PMs, estimators, and field superintendents. Expect a mix of office and jobsite time. What You'll Do Assist in managing multiple concurrent commercial, industrial, and public-works painting and coatings projects Prepare and track submittals, product data sheets, SDS, color schedules, mock-up requests, and RFIs Coordinate material procurement and delivery with coatings manufacturers and distributors Build and maintain project schedules; coordinate crew and equipment needs with superintendents and foremen Attend pre-construction meetings, OAC/progress meetings, and site walks; document and distribute notes and action items Track labor hours, production rates, and material usage against the estimate; flag variances early Support prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon compliance, including certified payroll coordination and required project reporting Prepare and process change orders, T&M tickets, monthly requisitions, and lien waivers Maintain quality control and inspection documentation (surface prep, DFT readings, environmental readings, holiday testing) and support our

program requirements Assemble closeout packages: as-builts, warranties, attic stock, O&M documentation Reinforce safety expectations on site in coordination with field leadership and our safety program Serve as a responsive point of contact for general contractors, construction managers, owners, and inspectors What You Need 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial painting, with exposure to specialty or high-performance coatings (epoxies, urethanes, resinous flooring, intumescent or industrial steel coatings) Working knowledge of surface preparation standards, coating systems, and manufacturer specifications Demonstrated leadership ability — you have run a crew, led a task, trained a helper, or otherwise been the person others look to Strong technology skills and the willingness to learn new platforms quickly: Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams), PDF markup tools (Adobe, Bluebeam, or similar), plan viewing software, and construction management software such as JobTread, Procore, or comparable systems Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable on the phone and in front of a customer Organized, detail-driven, and able to juggle competing priorities without dropping documentation Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to jobsites throughout New England Ability to access active construction sites, including climbing ladders and scaffolding and wearing required PPE Nice to Have OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 AMPP/SSPC or NACE coursework or certification (CCI, C-7, C-3, or similar) Experience with federal, DCAMM, or other public-agency projects and their documentation requirements Experience with lead-safe work practices (RRP), containment, or confined space entry Estimating or takeoff experience Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese Prior military service — veterans are strongly encouraged to apply What We Offer Competitive salary with performance-based growth [401(k) with company match] [Paid time off and holidays] [Company vehicle or vehicle allowance / mileage reimbursement] [Phone and laptop provided] Paid training and support toward industry certifications (OSHA, AMPP/SSPC, manufacturer programs) A direct, clearly defined path to a full Project Manager role
