Job Description

Project Coordinator Position Overview We are hiring a Quality Containment Project Coordinator to support quality, containment, and mechanical rework projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on coordination role for someone with quality, containment, mechanical rework, or manufacturing experience who can help oversee daily operations, maintain quality standards, coordinate small teams, and support new project launches. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, comfortable working on the manufacturing floor, and able to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and production teams. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee daily quality containment and inspection activities Support mechanical rework operations and ensure work is completed according to specifications Provide direction and support to small teams to keep projects on schedule Communicate with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and production personnel to maintain workflow Identify quality issues and help troubleshoot and resolve problems Perform detailed dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment Accurately document inspection results, project activity, and quality records Maintain accurate and timely reports and project documentation Assist with new site and project launches, including setup, training, and process validation Monitor project progress and help ensure customer and quality requirements are met Support process improvements and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment Work overtime, weekends, and varying hours based on production and project needs Travel to other sites or project locations as needed Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in quality, containment, or quality supervision/leadership Mechanical rework or manufacturing experience required Experience coordinating quality or containment activities Experience working with small teams in a manufacturing or production environment Strong mechanical aptitude Experience performing dimensional inspections Ability to use precision measuring tools such as: Calipers Pin gauges Micrometers Height gauges Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to read and follow technical specifications and work instructions Ability to work independently while coordinating with customers and internal teams Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as needed Preferred Qualifications Engineering or technical education Quality containment experience Automotive manufacturing experience Experience with mechanical rework Previous quality lead, quality supervisor, or team lead experience Experience supporting new site or project launches Experience working with OEM or automotive manufacturing customers
