Job Description

About the Position We are looking for a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, estimators, field personnel, vendors, and customers to help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and within budget. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment, wants to learn a new field, and wants to build a long-term career in sheet metal and project management. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning and coordination of sheet metal projects from start to finish Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and submittals Assist with material purchasing, and material tracking Coordinate with field crews, general contractors, vendors, and suppliers Help track project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders Communicate project updates and potential issues to Project Managers Assist with scheduling deliveries and coordinating materials with field requirements Review shop drawings and assist with resolving field and fabrication issues Help maintain accurate project records and documentation Attend project meetings as needed Assist with identifying potential project delays, material issues, and other concerns Support Project Managers with daily administrative and project coordination tasks Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in construction, sheet metal, HVAC, fabrication, or a related field would be preferred, but not required. Previous project coordination or project management experience is a plus Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Strong attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook Ability to work effectively with office staff, field personnel, customers, vendors, and contractors Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn . You should be comfortable working with both people and paperwork and have the ability to stay on top of multiple moving parts. Experience in sheet metal fabrication, commercial construction, is highly valued, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a desire to grow.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
