Job Description
Summary/Objective:
The Civil Project Controls Specialist - Bilingual is responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting for civil construction projects. This role works closely with project management and field operations to ensure accurate project controls, with a strong emphasis on reviewing field-entered data in HCSS HeavyJob for accuracy and completeness. The position requires proficiency in both English and Spanish to effectively coordinate with field teams and stakeholders.Essential Functions:

- Identify discrepancies in labor, equipment, and production entries and coordinate with field teams to resolve issues
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using MS Project
- Track and analyze project progress, costs, and productivity against budgets and forecasts
- Utilize HCSS HeavyJob for cost tracking, reporting, and data management
- Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, including schedule updates, cost reports, and variance analyses
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure alignment between schedules, budgets, and actual performance
- Support project setup, including cost codes, budgets, and tracking systems
- Monitor job cost data and identify potential risks, delays, or cost overruns
- Assist in forecasting labor, equipment, and material needs based on project schedules and production rates
- Facilitate communication between English- and Spanish-speaking team members to ensure clarity in project expectations and reporting
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records
- Assist with continuous improvement of project controls processes and reporting systems
