Project Controls Specialist Redpath Mining - 4.2 South Jordan, UT Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Safety regulations Company vehicle operation High school diploma or GED Driver's License Construction plans Blueprint dimension interpretation Productivity software Full Job Description The Project Controls Specialist supports the planning and performance monitoring of assigned projects by assisting with the implementation of established project controls processes, procedures, and contracts. Working under the direction of the Project Controls Analyst and/or Project Controls Manager, the incumbent helps track performance daily, weekly, and monthly, and supports the compilation of quantitative and qualitative data used to evaluate the physical and economic performance of the projects. The incumbent supports Redpath USA Corporation's business objectives by assisting with the administrative setup of projects and helping maintain the project baseline, execution plans, and supporting documentation established by the project controls team. 1. Assist in compiling and maintaining project controls baseline documentation, including project execution plans and controls procedures, under the direction of the Project Controls Analyst and/or Project Controls Manager. 2. Support the administrative set-up of new projects, including timekeeping, reporting, chart of accounts, and document management tasks. 3. Assist in monitoring adherence to Redpath's Management of Change (MOC) process and help ensure changes are properly documented. 4. Enter, update, and reconcile project cost and schedule data in InEight [HD], Primavera and/or MS Project, SharePoint, and JD Edwards. 5. Assist in tracking project budget performance and cost re-allocations, and help compile monthly cash and resource forecasts, escalating variances to senior project controls staff. 6. Support the maintenance of earned value data on assigned projects. 7. Support compiling and distributing project key performance indicator (KPI) reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. 8. Assist in preparing and compiling project close-out report documentation. 9. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver's License and acceptable driving record. 10. Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments. 11. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner. 12. Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures. 13. Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information. 14. Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath's Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 15. Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations. 16. Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility. 17. Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:

Required:
High school diploma or GED, an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in related field. Additional coursework or certification related to project controls, cost tracking, or construction administration is considered an asset.Work Experience:
1 to 3 years of field and/or office-based project accounting, estimating, or controls-related experience in underground construction or an operational mining environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Exposure to project management, construction contracts, and reporting is preferred.Knowledge Required:
1. General understanding of business interfaces and processes as they relate to human resources, procurement, engineering, construction operations, accounting, and administration. 2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness and ability to learn project scheduling and cost-tracking software (e.g., InEight, Primavera, or MS Project). 3. Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. 4. Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment 5. Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil work, structural work, rock excavation work). 6. Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.Other Requirements:
1. Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical. 2. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. 3. Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence. 4. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. 5. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. 6.
