Grading Project Manager

Job Summary:

In this critical role, you will oversee and manage multiple crews, ensuring the successful execution of projects associated with highways, streets and parking lots. You will also have the oversight of various subcontractors, coordinating efforts across all aspects of grading operations. Your leadership and organizational skills will be key to maintaining productivity, safety and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead multiple crews to ensure efficient and quality operations. Implement and interpret construction plans, ensuring all work is performed according to project specifications. Visit jobs on a regular basis to review the effectiveness of site supervision, job progress, quality of work, and safety on the job. Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion. Review and adjust schedules, materials and crew assignments to optimize resources and meet deadlines. Read and understand contract agreements, price change orders, and track all submittals. Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently, working with the maintenance team as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management. Strong understanding of math with an analytical mind. Manage project budgets, ensure quality control, organize project records and invoice for work completed. Previous experience of 5 years in the grading industry as a supervisor and 2 years in a management position. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and word.
