We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Operations Project Manager to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia manufacturing facilities.
What You'll Get To Do:
This position will be responsible for performing various duties on assigned programs, which include, but are not limited to the following: Oversees and manages the operational aspects of proposed and ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, planning, project team, and operations management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, operations management and customers. Drives continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities. This position is contingent upon proposal/task award. Basic Qualifications for a
Senior Principal Project Manager:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in project management, manufacturing, or engineering OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience in project management, manufacturing or engineering Experience as an OPM, project manager, engineering program manager, or manufacturing analyst/engineer in leading a team of engineering and/or production personnel in military grade product manufacturing Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or Control Account Management (CAM) techniques, which include program cost and schedule management Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance and higher-level program clearance(s) US citizenship is required. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Communications or other related field Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Proficiency in Risk and Opportunity management Experience presenting to executives Scheduling experience Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in a manufacturing environment An active DoD Secret security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range:
$111,700.00 - $167,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
