We don't just construct buildings-we earn trust. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who values collaboration as much as precision and is eager to help guide our team to the next level. The Role CDK is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects, with primary focus on public sector work. Extensive experience in General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) delivery is strongly preferred and will be a key factor in candidate selection. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of successfully managing projects for government, municipal, or institutional clients, along with deep expertise navigating the complexities of public sector construction. Highly Preferred Qualities
- Significant experience operating in a GC/CM (General Contractor/Construction Manager) environment, including preconstruction and negotiated work
- Demonstrated success delivering public sector projects (e.g., municipal, state, federal, education, healthcare, or institutional clients)
- Strong understanding of public procurement processes, including alternative delivery methods, Progressive Design-Build, bid compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience collaborating with public owners, agencies, and stakeholders in highly structured and transparent environments.
- Proven ability to manage projects with heightened scrutiny around budget accountability, schedule adherence, and public oversight.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Project Leadership Full Lifecycle Ownership:
Direct all project phases, from initial pre-construction and complex estimating to final punch-list and closeout.Proactive Risk Management:
Identify project risks (labor, supply chain, site constraints) months in advance and execute mitigation strategies that protect the project timeline and bottom line.Conflict Resolution:
Serve as the final point of escalation for project disputes. Utilize advanced negotiation skills to maintain "win-win" outcomes with clients, architects, and subcontractors.Financial Stewardship & Profitability Data-Driven Budgeting:
Manage multi-million-dollar budgets with a focus on deep-dive financial analysis, including accurate Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Over/Under billing reporting.Revenue Optimization:
Continually identify opportunities for value engineering, cost savings, and process improvements without sacrificing our high standards of quality.Operational Excellence Schedule Architecture:
Develop and maintain master schedules that account for complex sequencing and long-lead items. Work in lockstep with Superintendents to ensure field reality aligns with the project plan.Contractual Integrity:
Oversee the drafting and execution of subcontracts and owner contracts, ensuring the company is fully protected against unnecessary liability.Team Mentorship & Culture Leadership & Development:
Act as a formal mentor to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and Project Engineers. Conduct regular check-ins to sharpen their technical skills, decision-making abilities, and professional judgment.Culture Carrier:
