Senior Technical Producer - Central Technology, Data Foundations Riot Games - 3.9 Mercer Island, WA Job Details 2 hours ago Benefits Open paid time off Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Parental leave 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Life insurance Qualifications Vendor relationship building Automation Operations transformation Process improvement Operational excellence initiatives AI-driven automation Project stakeholder communication Cross-functional communication Full Job Description As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams and initiatives to create products and experiences that maximize developer and player value. We guide development, clear blockers, and help teams deliver in a sustainable way while creating a strong collaborative environment. As a Senior Technical Producer on the Data Foundations (DF) Business Operations team, you will be a key steward of how the data platform organization operates — driving portfolio, vendor, and financial management. You will report to the Manager, DF Business Operations, and partner closely with DF engineering leads and other data / technology leaders across Riot.
Responsibilities:
Own the Data Foundations (DF) portfolio as a live, trusted picture of what's on track, at risk, or off course, and drive commitments to clarity before they become risks. Own the strategy, posture, and renewal planning across DF's vendor portfolio — including our largest platform investments — and establish a durable operating model with Procurement, Purchasing, Finance, TSO, and Legal. Partner with Finance to give leadership real-time, trusted visibility into DF's budget, and ensure DF meets its forecasting, capitalization, and financial reporting obligations. Identify opportunities for DF and other related data disciplines across Riot to operate more effectively — whether streamlining internal operations, improving how we surface value to customers, or strengthening the business case for our investments and standards. Represent DF Business Operations in cross-Riot data forums and stakeholder rituals, growing into ownership over time.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Producer, Technical Program Manager, Chief of Staff, Business Operations lead, or comparable role in a technical organization. Experience owning portfolio, vendor, or financial operations for a technical or platform team. Excellent communication — able to translate complex operational detail into a clear "so what" for senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to improve operating practices across teams and functions, increasing clarity, efficiency, and execution over time. Experience applying AI and automation to streamline organizational workflows, accelerate decision-making, and increase operating leverage.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting a data, developer, or infrastructure platform. SaaS vendor management at scale (renewal strategy, contract prep, QBRs). Finance partnership on budget forecasting, spend management, or capitalization. Fluency with Jira, portfolio reporting tools, and lightweight BI (SQL / dashboards). Prior experience in games or another creative-technical industry. For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
Our Perks:
Riot focuses on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy and other perks such as flexible work schedules. We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children, and a 401k with company match. Check out our benefits pages for more information. At Riot Games, we put players first. That mission drives every decision in our quest to create games and experiences that make it better to be a player. Whether you're working directly on a new player-facing experience or you're supporting the company as a whole, everyone at Riot is part of our mission. And just like in our games, we're better when we work together. Our goal is to create collaborative teams where you are empowered to bring your unique perspective everyday. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, we're looking forward to your application.
