Job Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager II - Nuclear Projects position for our client. This role is responsible for leading complex nuclear maintenance, outage, and capital projects within a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial nuclear project management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and expertise in outage coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and multidisciplinary team oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead complex nuclear projects and outage activities valued under $10M Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and execution activities Direct multidisciplinary teams supporting refueling outages, forced outages, and online maintenance work Coordinate engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, contractors, and project controls activities Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, cost forecasts, and status reporting Oversee work package preparation, procurement activities, ALARA planning, safety compliance, and clearance coordination Resolve project conflicts, mitigate risks, and maintain critical path schedules Interface with senior leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery Mentor junior project managers and support continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills:
Advanced project management experience in commercial nuclear power environments Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills Expertise in outage management, maintenance execution, and nuclear operations support Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary project teams Knowledge of nuclear safety practices, technical specifications, and industry regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced computer and project scheduling software proficiency
Required Experience:
12+ years of project management experience in a regulated industrial environment with an advanced degree OR 14+ years with a bachelor's degree OR equivalent combinations of education and experience Minimum 5 years of nuclear industry project management experience preferred Experience supporting commercial nuclear system upgrades, maintenance projects, outages, or construction activities strongly preferred Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $92.00 to $98.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
