$23.00 - $26.00 per hour (DOE) Monday- Friday 4 hours each day OR 3 days 8 hours each day Position Summary We are seeking a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Leasing Agent to support the operations of our residential property. This position will assist with leasing activities, resident relations, administrative duties, property operations, and overall community management.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as this position interacts regularly with prospective residents, current residents, vendors, and property management staff. Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Marketing Respond promptly to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person. Schedule and conduct professional property tours. Present apartment homes, amenities, and community features to prospective residents. Process rental applications, screening, lease documents, and move-in paperwork. Maintain accurate leasing records and follow company leasing policies and procedures. Monitor availability, pricing, notices, renewals, and lease expirations. Assist with marketing the property through online platforms, signage, outreach, and resident referral programs. Follow up with prospective residents to convert leads into applications and leases. Coordinate move-ins and move-outs and ensure apartments are prepared for occupancy. Resident Relations Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective residents. Respond to resident questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Assist with resident retention and renewal efforts. Prepare and distribute resident communications and notices. Assist with resolving resident concerns and escalate issues to the Property Manager when appropriate. Promote a positive, welcoming, and professional community environment. Assistant Property Management Assist the Property Manager with daily property operations and administrative functions. Help monitor rent collections, delinquency, and resident account balances. Assist with preparing reports, correspondence, notices, and other property documentation. Maintain accurate resident files and confidential records. Assist with accounts payable, invoices, purchase orders, and vendor documentation as assigned. Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors regarding work orders and property needs. Conduct property inspections and assist with maintaining curb appeal and community standards. Follow up on maintenance requests and resident service issues. Assist with compliance with company policies, lease requirements, and applicable housing laws. Provide coverage for the Property Manager when needed. Qualifications Previous experience in property management, leasing, hospitality, sales, or customer service preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn property management software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident information professionally. Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements is preferred. Preferred Experience Residential apartment or multifamily property management experience. Leasing and sales experience. Experience with property management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage, or similar platforms.
