On Site Cardiff, California Carlsbad, California Oceanside, California Classified/staff View favorites MiraCosta College is building a pool of substitute community service officers. Assignments are part-time/on call/as needed at any district facility. The department will review applications in the pool as needed. Applications are valid through June 30, 2027, at which time they will expire. A new posting for this pool will be posted on July 1, 2027, and those still interested will need to reapply at that time.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite. The District may consider an individual's request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months. Under limited supervision, provide security patrol and safety checks for all campuses via vehicle, foot and bicycle on a graveyard or weekend shift; provide safety escorts; and perform related duties as assigned. $31.17 per hour (range 16, step1).
