Job Description
A growing and established residential property management company in the Central Valley is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and service-oriented Property Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, communicating with property owners and residents, and taking ownership of a portfolio of residential properties. We are looking for more than someone who simply processes paperwork. The ideal candidate is a problem solver and strong communicator who understands that successful property management requires balancing the needs of property owners, residents, vendors, and the company. For the right individual, this position offers an opportunity to grow professionally as our property management portfolio continues to expand. Key Responsibilities The Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential rental properties, including: Serve as a primary point of contact for property owners and residents Maintain professional and proactive communication with owners regarding their properties Respond to resident questions, concerns, and lease-related matters Coordinate property turnovers, move-ins, and move-outs Coordinate maintenance requests and work with vendors to ensure repairs are completed timely Obtain owner authorization for repairs when required Review leases and monitor lease compliance Assist with rent collection and delinquency follow-up Coordinate notices and other property management documentation Conduct or coordinate property inspections Assist with security deposit dispositions and move-out documentation Coordinate leasing activity and communicate with prospective residents Work closely with accounting and administrative staff Maintain accurate records within property management software Help identify potential problems before they become larger issues Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Follow company policies as well as applicable California landlord-tenant and Fair Housing requirements What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate will have: Previous residential property management experience strongly preferred Knowledge of California residential property management practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Professional demeanor when dealing with difficult or emotional situations Ability to communicate effectively with property owners, residents, vendors, and coworkers Strong attention to detail and documentation Comfortable working with property management software and technology Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus. A California real estate license is also a plus but is not required to apply. Compensation $23.00-$26.00 per hour Starting compensation will be based on the candidate's property management experience, knowledge, qualifications, and ability to independently manage the responsibilities of the position. Schedule Full-time position, primarily Monday through Friday.
