Job Description

Assistant Community Manager Location:
Sonoma, CA Pay:
$22 to $27 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Part-time, approximately 24 to 27 hours per week Temporary, with the possibility of temp-to-hire We are seeking an organized, adaptable, and customer-focused Assistant Community Manager to support the daily operations of a busy senior residential community. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly, communicates well, and enjoys working with residents, guests, vendors, and community members. The ideal candidate lives locally in the Sonoma County area and can reliably commit to the schedule long-term. Bilingual skills are a plus. Responsibilities Support the Community Manager with daily property operations. Build positive relationships with residents, employees, vendors, guests, and community partners. Assist with resident relations and respond professionally to questions and concerns. Complete accurate data entry, electronic reporting, and financial recordkeeping. Assist with resident income recertifications and maintain organized resident files. Collect rent and accurately record payments. Maintain the property waitlist and process applications according to compliance requirements. Screen, interview, and process applicants for available units. Assist with marketing vacant units in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate resident move-ins, move-outs, and unit inspections. Help prepare documentation for property inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews. Follow company policies and applicable housing regulations. Assist with additional property needs, events, and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in property management, affordable housing, senior housing, hospitality, customer service, or office administration is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Comfortable working in a busy environment with changing priorities. Accurate data-entry, recordkeeping, and general computer skills. Ability to handle confidential resident and financial information professionally. Dependable and able to maintain a flexible seasonal schedule. Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus. Local Sonoma-area candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Schedule Current schedule through October 31, 2026: Friday, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM Schedule from November 2026 through April 2027: Monday, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM Tuesday, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM Friday, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM The office is closed on Sundays during this period. The schedule may change depending on the season, property events, and operational needs. Candidates must be comfortable with schedule flexibility and able to make a reliable, long-term commitment.
