Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week

We're currently seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to help oversee a 90-unit apartment community in West Sacramento, CA . If you enjoy building strong resident relationships, maintaining high community standards, and working in a collaborative team environment, we'd love to hear from you. Experience in affordable housing programs such as RD, HUD, or LIHTC is strongly preferred. What You'll Do As the Property Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the community while ensuring residents receive excellent service and the property is maintained to AWI's high standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing all aspects of the assigned property's daily operations Processing applications, screening applicants, and verifying landlord references Preparing leases, house rules, and required documentation Managing tenant certifications and re-certifications Conducting move-ins and move-outs Collecting rent and security deposits Enforcing lease agreements and community policies Coordinating maintenance and ensuring property standards are met Maintaining strong curb appeal and property presentation Marketing and advertising vacant units to attract qualified residents Responding appropriately to emergency situations Following company policies and procedures What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is organized, dependable, and committed to creating a positive living environment for residents. Qualifications & Skills Strong communication skills across diverse audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software/databases Strong math and financial accuracy skills Excellent organization and time management abilities Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities Professionalism and strong listening skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and corporate staff Basic Requirements Reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States Access to a personal smartphone with email, messaging, and app capability (usage reimbursed) Our Mission AWI delivers exceptional, mission-driven property management that drives long-term success for owners and quality housing for residents.
