A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

Description MetroDel is excited to announce that we are in the construction phase and looking to add an enthusiastic Part-Time Leasing Assistant for our new luxury apartment community in Dover, DE. As a Leasing Assistant, you will guide people through the process of becoming a resident from the time they inquire about living with us to the time they move in. You will continue the relationship by taking care of their needs to ensure a high quality of community living and feeling of home. This position will report to the Leasing Manager. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Lease available apartments, including scheduling and showing apartments as needed; renew existing leases. Lead outside marketing efforts. Conduct market research and assist with business outreach marketing, resident functions, and other promotional programs. Assist residents and provide outstanding customer service. Build lasting relationships with residents. Communicate important information to residents with well written and professional notices. Process rent payments and maintain collections according to policy. Stay abreast of Fair Housing laws and regulations. Ensure property site conditions are impeccable. Coordinate and communicate with the maintenance staff to include work orders and maintenance requirements at the property. Lead and/or assist with additional projects and/or duties as assigned by management. Utilize property management software to record and maintain information. Utilize Microsoft office suite for company communications.

Requirements:
HS Diploma Ability to work weekends or extended hours as needed for leasing/events/property emergencies. Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of Marks or Yardi systems a plus. Team-oriented seeking rigorous and challenging environment for career development
