A Residential Community Manager manages operations for an apartment community. Responsible for the maintenance and profitability of the apartment community. May provide information about the community to prospective residents, troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents. May also review and approve new lease applications, or be responsible for negotiating and closing sales.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Community Manager serves as the central leader of the community, overseeing daily operations, driving team performance, and fostering a positive environment for both residents and employees. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, monitoring the timely completion of work orders, maintaining service standards, and supporting overall property performance. Working both independently and collaboratively, the Community Manager acts as the primary liaison between onsite staff and upper management, providing regular updates on operational matters, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Success in this role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional resident experience while aligning community operations with organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead under challenging circumstances and restore confidence within a residential community. They will be an engaged and visible leader who prioritizes resident satisfaction, promotes open and effective communication, and drives continuous improvement in community operations. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to enhance the resident experience, strengthen community culture, and maintain high standards of service, accountability, and property performance. 2 to 4 years Multi-Family Management experience Exceptional Customer Service Skills Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Proficiency in MS Office required Knowledge of Rent Manager a Plus! Exhibit Professionalism in all Strong organizational skills Ability to effectively communicate with Employees, Residents, Vendors, and Corporate team. Experience implementing Staff Trainings and Reinforcing Company expectations Knowledge of expense budgeting and cost control Exhibit Knowledge and Enforcement of Company policies and protocol
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Track and execute strategies to achieve monthly and annual occupancy and collections goals. Collaborate with corporate leadership to evaluate and enhance operational processes, policies, and procedures. Monitor, manage, and report on community revenue, expenses, and cash flow performance. Ensure compliance with company policies and serve as a role model for professional conduct and accountability. Lead recruiting efforts, including interviewing, hiring, and making promotion recommendations for community staff. Address employee relations matters, including performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution. Conduct regular inspections of buildings, systems, and grounds to identify and address potential safety concerns. Assist in developing the community operating budget and monitor expenditures to ensure financial goals are met. Respond to and resolve resident concerns and complaints in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner. •
