We are currently seeking a Guest Advocate who is passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in the lives of our guests.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with guests. Provide support, encouragement, and advocacy throughout the treatment process. Encourage guests to remain engaged in treatment and work toward successful completion. Identify guests who may be considering AMA discharge and immediately communicate concerns to Clinical or Program leadership. Support the clinical team's efforts to retain and engage guests in treatment. Educate guests on program rules, policies, schedules, expectations, and community guidelines. Reinforce accountability, appropriate behavior, and professional boundaries. Encourage and participate in community meetings and activities. Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused community environment. Observe guest behavior and communicate significant concerns, conflicts, or changes to the appropriate team members. Work collaboratively with Clinical, Nursing, Case Management, BHT, and Operations staff. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all facility policies. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and timely. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with all guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in substance abuse, behavioral health, residential treatment, healthcare, or a related field preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish rapport with guests while maintaining professional boundaries. Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in challenging situations. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Recovery, peer support, or behavioral health experience is preferred.
CORE EXPECTATIONS
The Guest Advocate is expected to support the clinical team, promote continued treatment, encourage community engagement, reinforce program expectations, identify potential AMA concerns, and serve as a positive and professional resource for guests throughout their stay.
