This is a sales and outreach first role: you'll generate leads through community relationships, convert them into enrolled families, and keep those families engaged long term. You'll also support outreach for our other local location. Performance and bonus are tied directly to Arlington Heights enrollment growth, so this role suits someone who's energized by hitting targets, not just staying busy.
Compensation:
$40,000 base + commission based on new enrollments and family retention. Total compensation for a strong performer: $65,000+ Responsibilities Generate Leads Build relationships with local schools, libraries, and community organizations to create referral pipelines Represent Code Ninjas at community events, school fairs, and local partnerships Support outreach efforts at our other location as well Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and open houses that promote lead generation, learning, collaboration, and fun among students and families. Manage and post to the center's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram) to promote programs, events, and open houses Close Enrollments Run open houses and trial classes that convert visitors into enrolled families Follow up personally and promptly with every lead via phone and text, not just email Own the full enrollment funnel from first inquiry to signed membership Retain Families Build strong relationships with enrolled families to minimize cancellations Address concerns proactively, before they turn into lost enrollments Drive referrals and reviews from happy current families Center Support Provide on-site presence and day-to-day center oversight Support and coordinate with instructors ("senseis") Maintain accurate enrollment, attendance, and communication records Serve as the primary point of contact for current families, ensuring excellent customer service and ongoing engagement to foster loyalty. Qualifications Experience in sales, business development, or community outreach: this is a requirement, not a nice-to-have Comfortable being measured against enrollment and growth targets Strong relationship-building skills with both adults and kids Experience with kids, education, or youth programming a plus, but not required Excellent communication skills, with the ability to close a sale and build long-term trust with families Genuine enthusiasm for education and technology, paired with the drive to turn that enthusiasm into results Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to accommodate event schedules Preference for availability on-site Monday, Wednesday-Friday from 01:00 PM-7:00 PM, and Saturday morningsPay:
