Responsible for the leadership, management and coordination of three apartment communities (1120 units), housing approximately 2500 residents from over 70 countries, primarily graduate students and their families. Administers the residential curriculum that includes community development activities, learning opportunities, emergency/crisis response, supervision of staff, and facility related issues within the residential community. Provides direction in meeting the needs of the residents which include domestic and international students and their families, visiting scholars, faculty, and staff. Through coordination with professional and paraprofessional staff and by working directly with residents, ensures that services and the living environment meet the daily needs and mission of the community. This position requires the staff member to live within the assigned University Apartments community. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with evenings, weekends, and participation in a rotating on call schedule required to support community operations and respond to resident concerns, emergencies, and other operational needs. The position involves managing multiple priorities and navigating the University Apartments communities and campus in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment. Work may involve responding to resident concerns, resolving conflicts, and handling emergency situations while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
