Ready to Lead From the Front? A growing property management company is seeking an experienced, driven Regional Property Manager / Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily communities. This is not a behind-the-desk regional role. We're looking for a true multifamily operator who wants to be in the field — walking properties, working alongside onsite teams, solving problems, developing people, and driving results. You'll have regional responsibility, but when a property needs additional support, we expect you to roll up your sleeves, jump in, and lead by example. The right person can walk into a community, quickly understand what's working and what needs attention, establish priorities, rally the team, and turn those priorities into measurable improvements. If you enjoy building strong teams, improving property performance, solving operational challenges, and seeing the direct impact of your leadership, this could be an exciting next step. What You'll Do Provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of multifamily communities. Lead from the front by regularly visiting communities, walking properties, engaging with onsite teams, and staying closely connected to day-to-day operations. Step directly into community operations when needed to strengthen leasing, maintenance coordination, resident experience, collections, and overall property performance. Lead, coach, and develop Community Managers and onsite teams while creating a culture of accountability, urgency, and ownership. Drive occupancy, revenue growth, leasing performance, resident retention, and overall property performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop clear, actionable plans to drive measurable results. Develop competitive marketing, leasing, and pricing strategies based on local market conditions. Maintain a strong understanding of the assigned markets, including competitors, rental trends, concessions, pricing, and market positioning. Partner with ownership and company leadership to establish goals, identify opportunities, and execute property-level action plans. Monitor and improve expense control, delinquency, collections, and operational efficiencies. Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, and financial performance reviews. Ensure weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting is accurate and completed on time. Build strong relationships with onsite teams, residents, vendors, ownership, and other business partners. Ensure communities are operating in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws and requirements. Support and implement capital improvement and property enhancement initiatives as needed. Travel between communities throughout the assigned portfolio as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of multifamily property management experience preferred. Previous experience as a Regional Manager, Area Manager, Senior Community Manager, or similar multi-site leadership role preferred. Proven ability to improve property performance and build high-performing onsite teams. Strong background in leasing, marketing, occupancy growth, resident retention, and revenue management. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and property performance metrics. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coach and support employees while maintaining accountability and high standards. A hands-on, lead-by-example leadership style. Strong understanding of multifamily operations and the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges. AppFolio experience strongly preferred. Ability and willingness to travel between communities throughout the assigned portfolio as needed. The Person Who Will Thrive Here You're not looking to manage properties from behind a computer. You want to see what's happening firsthand. You're comfortable walking a property, talking with the maintenance team, reviewing leasing activity with a Community Manager, identifying what needs attention, and helping the team execute. You know when to coach, when to hold someone accountable, and when to jump in and help get the job done. When you see an opportunity, you don't just report it — you take ownership, build a plan, and drive the solution. Most importantly, you understand that great regional leadership is about being present, developing people, setting the standard, and leading by example. What We Offer We believe strong performance should be recognized and rewarded. Competitive base compensation commensurate with experience Generous performance-based bonus structure Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays Opportunity for professional growth and advancement with a growing multifamily property management company A leadership position where your ideas, initiative, and results can make a visible impact A hands-on leadership environment where you have the opportunity to directly influence property performance and team success If you're an experienced multifamily leader who likes to roll up your sleeves, build strong teams, improve properties, and take ownership of results , we'd like to hear from you.
