About the Role The Arc of the South Shore is seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Program Manager to lead one of our residential programs in Scituate, Massachusetts . In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of a community-based residential program supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to employees while ensuring high-quality, person-centered services that promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion. What You'll Do Lead the day-to-day operations of the assigned residential program. Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate residential staff. Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing team members. Ensure the health, safety, rights, and well-being of individuals served. Monitor program quality and ensure compliance with DDS, MAP, DPPC, licensing, and agency standards. Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate program coverage. Participate in Individual Service Plan (ISP) and interdisciplinary team meetings. Support person-centered programming, self-advocacy, and community participation. Oversee documentation, reporting, and program records. Monitor program budgets, expenses, and consumer funds as assigned. Participate in the management on-call rotation and respond to urgent operational needs as required. Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, guardians, healthcare providers, and community partners. What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Experience At least one year of supervisory, administrative, or program leadership experience in residential services, developmental disabilities, human services, or a related field preferred. Experience supervising employees and coordinating services. Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). MAP certification (or ability to obtain). Successful completion of all required agency and DDS training. Acceptable CORI and background screening results. Skills Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively. Knowledge of DDS, MAP, DPPC, and residential service regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and electronic documentation systems. Ability to make sound decisions during emergencies and crises.
