A Residential Community Manager manages operations for an apartment community. Responsible for the maintenance and profitability of the apartment community. May provide information about the community to prospective residents, troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents. May also review and approve new lease applications, or be responsible for negotiating and closing sales.
Overview The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential care homes, ensuring that residents receive consistent, high-quality care and support. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and effective organizational skills to supervise staff, coordinate individualized care plans, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in long-term care settings, such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities, along with the ability to manage operational and financial aspects of the program. This is a full-time, on-call position. The role requires daily travel to multiple residential homes throughout Montgomery County to monitor operations, support staff, and ensure quality service delivery.
Duties:
Assist with the development of each individual's Treatment Plan (TP) Ensure that individual TP and support services are implemented Ensure that individual TP and support services are implemented. Assist with the transition of new individuals into the residential program. Maintain individuals' records that are accurately updated and filed correctly Provide specific needs training to Residential Counselors Continuous monitoring to ascertain staff training needs Monthly Supervision documentation Ensure frequent, consistent outings and leisure activities Perform other duties as assigned by the Administer and/or Managing Director Ensure that the household maintains a positive, friendly rapport with neighbors Ensure that individuals maintain appropriate contact with family members Attend meetings and Trainings. Ensure that all employees' time sheets are submitted to the office in a timely manner Document all staff disciplinary issues as needed. Maintain communication with the Case Manager of any staff issues Assist with the scheduling of staff and provide needed staff coverage if necessary Supervise residential counselors, Awake overnight staff, weekend staff, 1:1 staff, and relief staff Provide in-house orientation training to newly hired staff and provide ongoing necessary supports to all staff Assure that quality care is provided to the individuals receiving services Assure that the home is maintained in a clean, attractive manner and exterior of the home is maintained in a manner consistent with the norms of the neighborhood including monthly home inspection. Ensure that all employees' time sheets are submitted to the office in a timely manner Assist with the scheduling of staff and provide needed staff coverage if necessary Supervise residential counselors, Awake overnight staff, weekend staff, 1:1 staff, and relief staff Provide in-house orientation training to newly hired staff and provide ongoing necessary supports to all staff Document all staff disciplinary issues as needed. Qualifications:
Associate/Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Intermediate computer skills. Experience working in a residential setting or a group home Able to read and write Proficient in meal prepping. Experience working with transactional youth with autism CMT certification. Familiarity with medication administration protocols CPR/First Aid The ability to clean and maintain a hygienic environment for residents is required. Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving as part of your responsibilities.
Experience:
Must have 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
