This dynamic, hands-on position is responsible for the operations of a multi-family, Section 8, LIHTC community in the Grand Rapids area. Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Tenant Relations/Customer Service
  • Occupancy
  • Rent collection
  • Compliance with Tax Credit program
  • Lease and rule compliance
  • Managing expenditures
  • Maintenance oversight, including work order monitoring and curb appeal
  • Staff and project oversight/scheduling
Necessary Skills:
  • Positive leader who supports the team
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Maintain accessibility and approachability
  • Assess and report condition of common area, units and facilities
  • Knowledge of RealPage (or similar) management software
Fair Housing Law/Practices Education:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred
Specialized Experience:
  • Property Management experience required.
  • Affordable Housing experience required.
Certificates and Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license and means of transportation
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and contractors
  • Ability to thrive and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong sense of urgency and solid time management
  • Honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Solid work ethic
Respectful Job Type:

$51,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
