Job Description
About the Role Vita Residential is seeking an experienced Community Director to lead operations at The Jewel at O'Fallon. In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of property performance — from financial management and staff leadership to resident relations — while building a community that residents are proud to call home. What You'll Do Leadership & Operations Manage the property's overall performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability goals Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and manage on-site staff Set and execute goals in partnership with corporate management, and implement company directives promptly Oversee on-site capital improvement projects Financial & Administrative Prepare monthly financial reports, including variance explanations Approve invoices for payment Manage rent collection, late notices, delinquency, and eviction proceedings (including 5-Day Pay or Quit notices) Execute promotions and pricing adjustments in line with company guidelines Resident & Property Care Deliver a consistently high level of service to residents, vendors, and staff — and train your team to do the same Conduct weekly property inspections and prepare summary reports on conditions, activity, and traffic Walk the property regularly to ensure cleanliness and curb appeal Assist with apartment tours and processing applications for prospective residents Respond to and resolve emergencies as they arise Compliance Ensure full compliance with Fair Housing, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws (wage and hour, breaks, equal employment opportunity, etc.) Conduct all business in line with company policies and procedures What You'll Need 3+ years of experience managing a multifamily property 3+ years of supervisory experience Strong operational and financial acumen Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business software Working knowledge of general accounting and business concepts Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills A self-motivated, accountable, and mature approach to work The highest standards of integrity and professionalism Availability to work some weekends and holidays as needed Benefits Health insurance, health savings account, and life insurance Paid time off Employee discount Bonus pay eligibility This role is a great fit for someone who is: People-oriented and energized by team collaboration Detail-focused with strong follow-through Motivated by challenges and driven to achieve results
