Our Wilmington team has recently taken on a new client with a substantial portfolio of local properties. Bringing those homes into day-to-day management means keeping records current, responding to residents, arranging maintenance, and making sure the owner knows what is happening across the portfolio. We're hiring a Property Management Associate to help the property managers handle that work. This role sits on the operations side of real estate. You'll help look after occupied and vacant properties, follow requests through to completion, and keep information organized for the people who own, live in, and care for the homes. If you enjoy working with people and take satisfaction in getting the details right, you'll have plenty to contribute. Keep each property moving Maintain accurate records for each home, including contacts, occupancy status, maintenance history, and upcoming appointments. Receive questions from residents and owners, record the details, and direct requests to the appropriate property manager. Log repair requests, arrange appointments with approved vendors, and follow up on progress. Help schedule property inspections and make sure notes, photographs, and resulting tasks reach the right colleagues. Track outstanding work across multiple properties, flagging delays or urgent concerns to a manager. Prepare straightforward updates that help owners see the status of their properties and any work in progress. Organize documents and property information needed when a home is being prepared for rent, a change of ownership, or a potential sale. Work with property managers, maintenance contacts, and office colleagues to keep records and next steps consistent. The approach we're looking for You are organized and can keep several properties and requests in view without losing track of a follow-up. You communicate clearly with residents, owners, vendors, and colleagues. You listen carefully, record information accurately, and know when to raise a concern. You remain professional when someone reports a problem with their home. You are comfortable using email, calendars, documents, and digital records. You are willing to learn how property management works and take ownership of the tasks assigned to you. Previous property or real estate experience is helpful, but it is not essential. You'll work alongside property managers and learn how maintenance, resident communication, and owner reporting fit together.
